CURIOSITIES OF PETER PAN

1. Disney had to make a deal with a hospital to make the movie.

2. The boy who put the voice to Peter, died a victim of what is known as "the curse of children actors”.

3. The actress Margaret Kerry was the model of the animators for Tinkerbell. 

4. The song "The second star on the right" was written for the movie Alice in Wonderland.

5. The phrase "If you can think about it, you can do it" has become the motto of many entrepreneurs and recognized entrepreneurs. Such was the case of Steve Jobs.

6. To draw Captain Hook Henry Brandon was modeled. 


7. Peter Pan was one of Walt Disney's favorite stories, and in 1935 he intended it to become his second classic after 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'. However, this was Disney's 14th feature film.

8. Wendy and Alicia, from "Alice in Wonderland" have an almost identical physique. In addition, they are dubbed by the same actress, both in the original version and in Latin America. 

9. Hook was not always in the story. The original villain of the play was Peter Pan himself.

10. Contrary to popular belief, Neverland prevents get older. Peter is the only inhabitant of Neverland who does not grow old (although he never explains why), the lost children and all the other inhabitants also grow, but in a slower way than on earth.

11. Although he is a hero, Peter has psychotic attitudes. He is constantly killing characters in the novel. Its reason is that it is fun and it takes away boredom. They are mostly pirates, but according to Barrie, Peter has killed lost children who become too old (again, they ruined my childhood).

12. J.M. Barrie and Robert Louis Stevenson (writer of Treasure Island) were friends and Barrie confirmed that at some point in his past, the acclaimed Captain Hook crossed paths with the dreaded John Silver.

13. Despite the great importance of Peter in the novel, Wendy is considered the true protagonist of the story.

14. "Hook", Steven Spielberg's movie was originally going to be starring Michael Jackson (and a musical), but he rejected the role when he saw that his childhood hero was now an adult.

15. There is an official sequel to the novel, entitled "Peter Pan of Red Scarlet", which although it is by another author and was published almost one hundred years later, is authorised by the owners of the rights.

16. In the first versions Peter Pan flew without the help of fairy dust, which caused many children to think they could do it too if they wanted it strongly. After several accidents the detail of fairy dust was added.

17. In the original work, Hook loses his right hand, and the Disney artists felt he could limit his actions too much, and changed the hook to the left hand.


18. This movie marked two changes for Disney: first, it was the last Disney movie in which the nine members of the Nine Olds worked together directing animators; in second place it was the last one of animated film of Disney distributed by RKO Radio Pictures. All Disney films after the beginning of 1954 would be distributed by Buena Vista, as well as all post-1954 re-editions of their previous films.
